Tom is the Physical Therapist-Owner of Marian Physical Therapy, LLC in Manteno, Illinois. Prior to opening Marian Physical Therapy, Tom worked in In-hospital Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facilities, Nursing Home, Hospital Acute and Sub-acute Departments, and Home Care.
Tom received his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from Pines City Educational Center (now Pines City Colleges) in the Philippines. He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the Ola Grimsby Institute (OGI) in San Diego, California. He completed Residencies in Orthopedic Manual Therapy, and Scientific Therapeutic Exercise Progressions (S.T.E.P.) through the OGI. He is also credentialled in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment of the Spine (McKenzie Technique).
The original emphasis of his practice was Orthopedic Manual Therapy and Therapeutic Exercises, specializing in Myofascial Release, Mulligan Mobilizations, McKenzie Technique, Primal Reflex Release Therapy (PRRT), Sports Rehabilitation, Pre-Op and Post-Op Orthopedic Joint Rehabilitation, Vestibular Rehabilitation and Temporomandibular Joint Disease treatment.
Tom started M.A.N. Up in late 2015 after he saw how Stroke and Parkinson’s Disease affected his mother. He attended numerous seminars, researched the diseases, and developed the program after he saw that he can combine therapeutic exercises and martial arts to make an effective rehabilitation strategy to address the problems.
Tom is a Black Belt in Kukkiwon Tae Kwon Do and is a practitioner of the Martial Arts of Filipino Pekiti Tirsia Kali Sytem and Israeli Crav Maga.
Mike is a physical therapist practicing in Home Health, Skilled Nursing Facilities and Acute Care Hospital. Heis also a Certified Dementia Practitioner that helps bring out the best in his dementia patients and their caregivers. He is a Certified Clinical Instructor, a Certified Dementia Practitioner, and a Senior Fitness Specialist. He is a member of American Physical Therapist Association, Tennessee Physical Therapy Association, National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners, International Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners, Academy of Filipino-American Physical Therapist and National Academy of Sports Medicine. Michael stays up to date with the latest physical therapy and dementia re-direction techniques by attending various continuing education seminars to provide an evidence-based and cost-effective treatment.
Rodis a licensed physical therapist with more than 25 years of combined experience in the fields of geriatric care rehab, inpatient and outpatient orthopedic, adult and geriatric neurological rehab, wound care, and edema management. Dr. Rodriguez received his doctorate degree in Physical Therapy at Regis University, Denver Colorado and his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy at Southwestern University in the Philippines. He is a Board Certified Wound Care Specialist from the American Board of Wound Management. His clinical and research interest is focused on utilizing safe and low technology treatment strategies for multiple areas including geriatric care status post orthopedic surgery, non-healing wounds, and stroke recovery. Dr. Rodriguez has a broad knowledge base and experience in dealing with complex wounds and edema cases.
Dr. Rodriguez came from a family of educators and is a former instructor from Summit Professional Education. He had the privilege to teach and educate a multitude of patients, students, therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on different treatment techniques. He earned his certification as a credentialed clinical instructor from APTA and is currently pursuing a business degree. He is the owner and primary physical therapist of Denver Physical Therapy At Home which is based in Denver, Colorado.
